SPEAKERS

ERIC BANCROFT

Eric has lived all over the country, including Minnesota, Colorado, South Carolina, Florida, California, and Indiana. He started in full-time ministry in 2002 as an associate pastor at Grace Community Church in Los Angeles under the leadership of Pastor John MacArthur. In 2008, he and his family moved to Indianapolis for him to serve the Lord as the senior pastor at Castleview Church. Then in 2018, with the elders blessing and the congregation sending, he moved back to Miami (after being gone for 20 years) to plant Grace Church in 2019.

Eric has a B.A. from Trinity International University, a M.Div. from The Master’s Seminary, and a Th.M. from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. In addition to pastoring, Eric loves working alongside other pastors and helping start new ministries. This includes the Indy Sr. Pastors Network, Indianapolis Theological Seminary, and Practical Shepherding. He has also written for different publications including Ligonier, 9Marks, and The Gospel Coalition. He also serves with The Pillar Network as an Associate Director of Regions.

Eric’s passions include dating his wife of 28 years, doing fun stuff with his sons and daughter-in-law when they are in town, visiting his grandson in Colorado, preaching, discipling men, and helping serve other pastors. His hobbies include anything that involves outdoors or loud music.

DAN DUMAS

Dan Dumas is a leader committed to gospel transformation. Dan is the author of Live Smart, a gospel resource for the next generation and Founder of Red Buffalo Ventures. As an advocate for vulnerable children he was Special Advisor for Foster Care and Adoption to the Governor of Kentucky. He is passionate about all things leadership, strategy, adoption, expository preaching, biblical manhood and being an idea-generating organizational leader. He is also the co-author of A Guide to Biblical Manhood and the editor of A Guide to Expository Ministry. Dan served as a Senior Vice President of The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary from 2007 – 2017. Dan has served in a variety of ministry capacities in many local churches, including Executive Pastor at Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California. He loves all things sports (especially lake sports) and is an avid outdoorsman who loves hunting and fly fishing.

KURT GEBHARDS

Kurt was saved out of a home where there was no gospel influence. God rescued him and gave him light for his darkness, hope for his despair, and Christ's righteousness for his sin. The beauty and power of the gospel of grace overwhelm him to this day. For his ministry training, Kurt studied at The Master's Seminary and served at Grace Community Church under John MacArthur. He then received his doctorate from Southern Seminary. The Lord has sent him to serve with ministries in North Carolina and Chicago. And now, he and his family are home in Central Florida, where his roots run deep. He is most passionate about: 1) making disciples 2) training leaders and 3) Doing all things for the sake of the gospel. As for his favorite things, his wife Julie and their six kids are tremendous gifts from God. He loves time with them, doing ministry with them, and seeing his goodness through them.

DANIEL GILLESPIE

Daniel pastors Eastwood Community Church in his hometown of Wilmington, NC. Daniel and his wife Lisa returned to Wilmington after a stint in Los Angeles where Daniel was on staff at Grace Community Church and studied at the Master’s Seminary. Daniel is a graduate of NC State and loves all things wolfpack. He then received his doctorate from Southern Seminary. Daniel and Lisa have four children: Jacob, Josiah, Ellie and Judah. If the sun is out, they can all be found in the water or on the ball-field.

BREAKOUTS

Living faithfully for Christ and boldly proclaiming Christ in a world that opposes Christ

Christ said that we would be hated by the world because they first hated Him. The Christian life was never promised to be an easy life but we don’t live for the now, we live for the eternal. How then, do we live boldly for Christ in the face of opposition.

Where do I start?
Discipleship in the Gospel of John

Do you want to help others to follow Jesus but you don't know how? Throughout the centuries, many believers have begun their walk with the Lord by reading the Gospel of John. This session will teach a simple method of walking through this wonderful book with others as a means of discipleship. We will pay particular attention to some of Jesus’ conversations in John.

A Disciple Defined

"The Christian life is the discipled life". Someone who believes in Jesus, follows Him, and embraces Him as their Lord and Treasure. To be a Christian is to be a disciple, a disciple is not a "second tier" Christian. If you believe in and follow Jesus, you're a disciple right now.

Supernatural Leadership

Nehemiah exhibited tenacious leadership under opposition and threat of attack. Come learn leadership principles from this biblical example that will prepare you for a life of faithfulness, trust, integrity, and readiness to take on insurmountable odds in the strength of the Lord.

How to Study the Bible

We live in an age of information overload, technology, Chatgpt, and instant gratification. We must learn how to shut out the noise and notifications and focus intently upon God's Word. Learning how to study the Bible will help us to cut through the clutter and cling to Christ.

The Christians Pursuit of Holiness

God’s mission in the world is to save and sanctify His people. Our Christian life should be marked by one of growing virtue in Christ. Why is this important? Does this make us legalists? Can we actually do this? What does God expect of us? Come find out!

AI and the future of the Christian Soul

Technology has been a great tool for everyone, even the church. But where are the boundaries, limits and dangers that Christians need to see? Can AI be a helpful tool or a hidden danger? Pastor Kurt explores AI and its impact in the Christian life.

Play Like It Matters: Sports, Play, and Worship

Athletic competition and sports can shape what we love and who we are becoming—forming our desires, character, and worship. In this session, we’ll explore how, even though sports can present real spiritual dangers in a fallen world, Christ can redeem play so that even sports can become a place of joyful, God-glorifying worship.

Security in Christ (girls only)

Christ paid for sin completely, our salvation is secure. We may often doubt our salvation because of the presence of sin in our lives. Rather than handling sin wrongly, we need to address present sin with the same gospel clarity that brought us to Christ in the first place.

Hope in a Dark and Stress-Filled World

We serve a great and mighty God who gives us hope to endure. The pressure of society and constant worry can build up to what may seem like insurmountable mountains before us. But God works all things for good. Come see how our merciful God is sovereign over this world.
